Last night was really good; a few of us gathered at our friend Sumit's house where he made a Nepalese homestyle dinner. Sumit's a super nice guy (especially for throwing together this dinner ;P) and incidentally, he works in a kitchen part-time... probably picked up some skills there I think - because he sure chops onions quickly O_O
Meet Sumit!
Here he makes Phil and Dan some really nice coffee:

We started off with papadams! Woo! Who doesn't love papadams? He made a chutney and another mint, lime yogurt sauce thing which was really good. Mmm.
Here we see Sumit at work - think he was trying to make enough food to feed an army. Although, to be fair, we did finish most of it because everything was really tasty, but then we had to roll around on the couch later groaning from being so full.
Pestle and mortar! I think Dan really wants one - maybe I'll get him that for Christmas...
Voila! A feast!
We had Chicken Curry, Dahl, Onions and Mushroom, Paneer and Peas, and Chick Peas and Mushrooms. The food took a while to cook because it was just Sumit in the kitchen but it was all good - the night rolled on with conversation and Sumit's sister poking fun at him. Haha. Oh life.
Then the food arrived and we attacked!

Aside from us rolling around with food babies we had a nice time watching Dodger, Sumit's firend's dog, yawn and stretch all over the place.
This is Sumit's sister petting Dodger who was really sulky all night waiting for his owner to come home.

Sulky sulk sulk.
Anyway, Sumit has promised to make momos if we visit again, they're a kind of Nepalese dumplings. I'm quite excited for that :)
Will probably try to steal his recipe haha.
