Dinner with Wyn

So because our flat was decked out for Christmas, we decided to ask our friend Wyn over for dinner. We just made some homestyle Chinese Malaysian food. Stir-fried long beans with dried shrimp! Steamed egg! And the star of our show, Pris' curry pork ribs. Oh the deliciousness.

We just had a bit of a catch up and watched Home Alone (it's still such a fun movie!). I think as the evening wound down though, we all realised we missed home. Especially, our moms who would cook yummy dinners for us and all the other people we love.

It's hard at Christmas to be so far away from home especially when we see all our local friends going home for the holidays but at least we have our food. And that in some small way is a great comfort.
