I've never had halloumi until the other night when we went to Bahia. It's a kind of cheese that is popular in mediterranean countries like Greece and Cyprus. It's really nice - quite a hard slightly salty cheese. Apparently, it's usually made from a mixture of goats' and sheep milk. So that's what we had for lunch the other day.
You can kinda just grill it in a hot pan without any oil, if you wish. Dan made some risotto to have with it but accidentally used rice pudding rice instead haha. I don't think I would have known the difference if he didn't tell me. So yeah, if you like cheese, this is something for you to try if you haven't had it. It makes a really good meal I think, just really satisfying and tasty.
In other news, we're just getting ready for Chinese New Year in our flat. We're going to try to make pineapple tarts! Really excited for that - I hope it turns out well :)
I can't believe you're making pineapple tarts :'(
