Banofudge Bites

Or Fananudge as Dan suggests. Okay, so they're both terrible names. Apologies. These were originally supposed to be Banoffee Bites, but we couldn't find any toffee so we just got some fudge from the Tesco pick n' mix. As usual, the recipe was from Sorted - this one is from their @ The Table series which is a slight twist on their usual format... I sound like I do their PR. Haha. Anyway, yeah - Dan and I wanted a "fancy" dessert and this had banana in it, so it ticked all the boxes.

Melted the fudge and cooked the bananas in it.

It's kind of like making wantans.

They even look like wantans heh. But they sure don't taste like them.

The smell of bananas baking in the oven is pretty damn amazing. Definitely a success. The filo pastry makes a nice crunchy flaky crust with the gooey sticky banana and fudge mix inside - so good! We served it with some cornish ice-cream and a drizzle of fudge on top.
