Kar Heong

Kar Heong in SS14, Subang Jaya is kind of the best place to get Ipoh Hor Fun - outside of Ipoh. But that's just me. And well, it's not the exactly the same as the original Ipoh Hor Fun, but you know, it's pretty damn close. 


Silky and transluscent rice noodles with shredded chicken and the perfect broth. The broth, as we all know, is the most important bit - usually made with chicken bones and prawns. Sweet and savoury, made with care, simmering at the perfect temperature for hours on end. All very worth it for great flavour (MUST FIGURE OUT RECIPE). 

The other thing we like to get there are the meatballs made with pork and dried cuttlefish. This also comes in a fragrant yummy broth. The meatballs are really nice and have a great bite - the combo of pork and cuttlefish gives the meatballs a lovely umami taste.
